India Rain Alert: Delhi May See Light Rain, UP Gets Yellow & Orange Alerts; Check Forecast

The weather has been unpredictable these days. While on some days we’re dealing with scorching heat, on other days, it’s flooding due to heavy rain or light showers bringing cooler weather. Now, here are the latest updates on what the weather will look like in Delhi, Jharkhand and much more!

How’s The Rain In Delhi?

On Monday, the weather in Delhi is slightly cool thanks to light showers over the past two days. As per the IMD, the weather is expected to remain the same throughout the day, with a low chance of rainfall. At Safdarjung, the temperature is expected to reach 32°C, while the minimum may stay around 21°C. In the last 24 hours, Delhi received around 5 mm of rain. Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram and Faridabad also saw light rain. As for Tuesday, the IMD expects mostly clear skies, with temperatures rising to around 33-34°C.

There are also some states that have been worst affected by heavy rainfall over the past few days. As per News18 report, Uttar Pradesh has been receiving heavy rainfall. A yellow alert has been issued in Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Jyotiba Phule Nagar, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur, Gonda, Balrampur, Basti, Siddharthnagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gorakhpur, Maharajganj, Kushinagar and Deoria. An orange alert is in place for Bahraich, Shravasti, Lakhimpur Kheri, Pilibhit, Bareilly, Rampur, Moradabad and Bijnor.

Weather Across Other Indian States

There are chances of more rainfall and thunderstorms in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. According to News18 report, the authorities have warned residents to be cautious. On Monday, Odisha is expected to receive heavy rainfall. The Andaman and Nicobar Islands may get very heavy rain until September 29. On Monday, thunderstorms with strong winds are also possible.

Some parts of western India may continue to receive rain. Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, and Madhya Maharashtra could see rain in some areas until October 3. Marathwada may also receive rain on September 29.
