Pahalgam, a quaint town is one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in Kashmir. So of course, we had to have Elli AvrRam witness the place at least once! We experienced the absolute best that Pahalgam has to offer; right from the awe-inspiring snow-capped mountains to divine temples and mosques to local delicacies. The second episode of India With Elli is absolutely mesmerising! However, some moments stood out from the others and here are some of them!
India With Elli Episode 2: Pahalgam Highlights
This particular episode featured Pahalgam and all that it has to offer. Although the entire trip was very memorable, there were some moments that stood out to us and will stay with us forever.
1. Riding India’s Highest Cable-Car
This has to be the most thrilling thing we got to experience on the journey. And the view from the top was absolutely breathtaking and won’t be erased from Elli’s and our minds anytime soon.
2. Elli Visits Mamal Mandir
Elli and Team Curly Tales paid respects at the Mamal temple which is famed as the place where Lord Ganesh stood up to Lord Shiva and had his head cut off and replaced by an elephant head.

3. Aishmuqam Dargah
While our spiritual energies were still high from visiting the Vaishno Devi mandir in the previous episode and visiting the illustrious Mamal Mandir, we decided to stop by this Dargah as well. You wouldn’t believe the number of stair-steps Elli had to climb to reach this place! (Hint: It’s more than 150!)
4. Visiting The Home Of Locals
Travelling to new places admittedly has little value if you’re not exploring the local culture. Luckily for us, we got an invite into the home of a Kashmiri family! The hospitality of Kashmiris is famed throughout the land and we were treated to the best of it. It was, hands down, the most heartwarming moment of our trip.
5. Elli Goes Shopping!
Kashmir is a shopper’s heaven. Maybe a little pricey, but the items found in this region are famous worldwide! We almost had a heart attack when he heard how much saffron costs here!
