Swami Aniruddhacharya Ji, whom the internet affectionately calls Pookie Baba, did not come to Kamiya Jani’s Sunday Brunch to play safe. In an episode filmed at the Gauri Gopal Ashram in Vrindavan, he delivered exactly what people now expect from him: straight answers, no filters, and plenty of viral moments.
Pookie Baba Reveals He Has Never Tried Momo Ever
The setting itself was far removed from the usual celebrity brunch format. Instead of a luxury dining table or restaurant spread, the day unfolded around seva, simplicity, and discipline. Kamiya spent time observing the Akhand Rasoi, a kitchen that runs day and night, serving food continuously with devotion. The meal shared later was satvik, in keeping with the surroundings.
Then came a game segment that quickly turned into the clip everyone would discuss. Kamiya asked him to choose between ghar ka khana and outside food. Most guests would joke, hesitate, or diplomatically say both. He did none of that!
He said he does not eat bahar ka khana at all, so naturally his answer was ghar ka khana.

Why Pookie Baba Prefers Ghar Ka Khana Over Fast Food
He then said he has never eaten momo in his life, not even once! In an era where Momo has become almost the default street food in many Indian cities, the statement felt more than a shock. Kamiya Jani, our editor-in-chief, amused, replied that had she known earlier, she would have brought some for him.
He explained that he has seen how such food is prepared and made a conscious decision to stay away from it. According to him, people fall sick after eating these things, so why knowingly consume them? He went a step further and compared momos to zeher, saying they should not be eaten.
If anyone thought the Momo criticism was a one-off, he kept going.
When asked what else people should avoid, he named chowmein, burgers, pizza, and market food in general. His concern was not trendiness or taste but the oil used in commercial cooking. He said many vendors sell it as refined oil while actually using heavily processed double or triple-refined oil.
Whether one agrees with his food science or not is a separate debate. What stood out was how casually and firmly he said it.
