The newest episode of Sunday Brunch With Kamiya Jani, featuring Medha Shankr and Avinash Tiwary, had the energy of three friends being left unsupervised in a kitchen. Somewhere between brunch and complete madness, it also became a UP vs Bihar cook-off.
Medha Shankr & Avinash Tiwary’s Fun Brunch
The vibe of the recent Sunday Brunch episode featuring Medha Shankr and Avinash Tiwary was celebratory from the start. Both actors indulged in a fun conversation with our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, before she asked a deceptively simple question: Do you prefer being the host or the guest?
Medha did not hesitate; she announced that she hates being the host because she wants zero pressure. Avinash, meanwhile, claimed he likes hosting, only to immediately expose himself. According to him, hosting mostly means telling people where things are kept. “Yaha pe yeh pada hai, yaha wo pada hai, yaha khana pada hai.”
Then the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Close Assist game entered the chat. The concept was twisted Instagram photos where something had been edited out, and they had to guess what was missing. The first round was instant disorder! In one of Medha’s own photos with a plate of cheesecake, Kamiya had switched it with noodles. Medha spotted it quickly! The rest of the game? Viewers need to witness that mess themselves.
Avinash also shared what can only be described as peak gym-bro wisdom disguised as a recipe. The recipe sounded something like brown rice, chicken, everything into the cooker, shut the lid, and done! Kamiya looked at it and called it what many were probably thinking: chicken pulao.
UP VS Bihar Cook-Off Breaks Out On Sunday Brunch
Then came the real battle. Medha took charge of aloo puri. Avinash went in with litti chokha, bringing the UP-Bihar rivalry to the countertop. They had only 30 minutes, which already felt cruel, but Kamiya added another obstacle: a distraction game called How Well Do You Know Each Other?
The first question was favourite food. Medha missed Avinash’s answer. Avinash, without blinking, guessed hers in a second: aloo paratha.
Once cooking ended, they sat down to eat. There was also a plate of momos waiting for Medha because she had spoken so passionately about them in an earlier episode that the team made sure they were included this time. She looked thrilled!
Kamiya Jani tasted everything and admitted picking a winner was nearly impossible. Avinash, however, became a self-appointed food critic and handed out wildly specific ratings. Litti Chokha got 6.5, and Medha’s aloo sabzi got 7.58.
And just when it seemed the episode had delivered enough entertainment, the conversation moved to dating. Medha said she doesn’t really get crushes. What impresses her is character, kindness, inner strength, and how someone carries themselves, not flashy material things or performative gestures.
The second she said, “I just don’t get crushes,” Avinash jumped in with, “Mujhe dekha hai kabhi tumne?”
What followed was two to three minutes of chaotic flirting, comebacks, and the kind of chemistry that makes everyone else at the table suddenly very interested in their water glass.
