Gaurav Gera Reveals He Once Wanted To Be A Chef!
Somewhere between sips and bites, the conversation turned to food habits. Dhurandhar fame Gaurav Gera mentioned, quite casually, that he doesn’t eat chicken or meat. Eggs, though, are still very much on his plate. It wasn’t framed as a statement, just a fact about how he lives.
Then came the question that shifted things: What did he actually want to become? And Gaurav didn’t hold back.
Acting was one of four options. Before that, there was food; he genuinely considered becoming a chef. Fashion designing also made sense to him at one point. But the most unexpected answer that landed mid-conversation and changed Kamiya Jani’s expression instantly was that he once thought of becoming a smuggler!

Not seriously, not literally, but cinematically! He explained how films shaped that idea, especially a striking visual of a sharply stunning diamond in a red cloth, making its way onto screens. It wasn’t about the crime; it was the aura and the theatricality of it all. That detail stayed with you because it said more about his imagination than the profession itself. Well, this was also back when he was a kid, so we will give him that too!
And then, of course, acting happened. Looking at where he stands now, it’s hard to argue with that choice.
