That’s exactly what we experienced while shooting Stories from Bharat with Devyani Jaipuria at her Delhi farmhouse. Yes, she comes from the well-known business family, but the moment Kamiya Jani, our Editor-in-Chief, sat down with her, the conversation moved away from legacy and settled into something far more personal.
Devyani Jaipuria’s Adorable Love Story
Devyani’s stunning farmhouse is truly grand and all shades of royal. As they stepped into her dining area, a framed photograph caught Kamiya Jani’s eye; it showed Devyani with her husband and family, smiling in a way that felt very natural.
Kamiya asked her if it was love or an arranged marriage, and she revealed that it was a mix of both. When her now-husband saw her in the gym for the first time, he just…knew. He had made up his mind that she was the girl he wanted to marry.
With conversations, time spent together, and a gradual easing into each other’s presence, Devyani started feeling the same. She spoke about comfort, not in a vague, overused way, but as something specific. She revealed that she could be entirely herself around him, without adjusting tone or personality.
