Dhurandhar’s Aalam Bhai AKA Gaurav Gera Makes Doodh Soda For Kamiya Jani; Here’s Her Reaction!

Some food experiments are questionable. Others are unforgettable for all the wrong and right reasons, and this one lands somewhere in between. When Kamya Jani walked into Gaurav Gera’s home for a Sunday Brunch episode, it didn’t take long for things to spiral into chaos, in the best way possible! 

Gaurav Gera Serves Doodh Soda On Sunday Brunch

Gaurav, still riding high on the buzz around playing Aalam Bhai in Dhurandhar, didn’t just serve food; he turned the entire setup into a performance. Before the drink even appeared, he slipped into character. Suddenly, he was a street-side shopkeeper, loudly pitching “doodh soda” for “20 rupaye, 20 rupaye, 20 rupaye,” repeating it with increasing urgency, then casually extending his hand toward Kamiya Jani, our editor-in-chief, as if she actually owed him money. And then came the drink! 

Doodh soda, as he explained it, isn’t some complicated, carefully balanced recipe. It’s exactly what it sounds like: milk with soda poured into it. The soda could be anything, orange soda if you’re feeling experimental, cola if you want it familiar, or even Thums Up if you like that stronger kick. “Hum to aise hi peete the,” he shrugged, as if that settled the debate.

Kamiya’s Reaction To The Drink

Kamiya took a sip, and what became apparent was instant regret. Her face gave her away before she could say a word; this was not something she was going to pretend to enjoy. Watching her process the taste in real time was easily funnier than the recipe itself.

Gaurav Gera, unfazed, started offering fixes on the spot. Add more cola, he suggested, or maybe throw in some sugar.

Somewhere between improvisation and damage control, he kept defending the drink like it had emotional value.

Then came the twist. When Kamiya Jani asked how it was made in the film, he described a completely different version; milk boiled properly, cooled down, sugar added with care and then poured in that dramatic, stylised way you see on screen. She didn’t let that slide and called him out playfully for taking the shortcut with her, and both of them burst into laughter.
