Hey fam! We’re back with another exciting Tere Gully Mein episode. This time, we spent the day eating, chilling, and chatting with popular actress Disha Madan. From devouring huge thalis that looked too good to miss, to busting some of Bengaluru’s most popular myths—this one’s a must-watch!
Disha Madan Breaks Bengaluru Myths
In our latest Tere Gully Mein episode with Disha Madan, we enjoyed the delicious 16-inch Bahubali thali, packed with chicken biryani, raita, fish curry, mutton curry, curd rice, fish fingers, gulab jamun, and much more. While digging in, we asked her to bust some of Bengaluru’s famous myths.
Is Bengaluru all about idli-dosa? Disha denied it, saying, “There’s a lot more than idli-dosa.” Though Bengaluru prepares delicious idlis and dosas, there’s a lot more for foodies to explore. Are Darshini’s low quality? According to her, “Darshinis are a vibe.” And when it comes to must-try dishes, there are plenty you just can’t miss.
We also asked if South Indian food is always vegetarian, “definitely a myth,” she said. Do you need to know Kannada to survive in Bengaluru? Disha agrees. According to her, you should know basic Kannada. Is rasam rice overrated? She clearly disagrees, and with her expression, we can clearly say it’s one of her favourite go-to dishes. And what about the idea that everything in Bengaluru is overpriced? Not true, according to her. All you need is the right place where you can find items at affordable rates.

Thalis We Enjoyed In Bengaluru
We, along with Disha Madan, tried some of Bengaluru’s famous thalis. We enjoyed Ponnuswamy’s huge 26-inch Bahubali Thali, followed by Raajdhani’s Unlimited Thali with endless refills of classic Indian dishes. We also experienced Jamavar’s Royal Thali, a luxurious multi-course meal served on silverware. Each thali was amazing and full of flavours.
While enjoying our food, we had a fun conversation with Disha and played This or That. From her favourite actress to restaurant choices, we learned a lot about her!
