Nobody expected one innocent question at the brunch table to turn into a full-fledged love letter to Chinese food, but that’s what happened when the cast of Netflix’s Musafir Cafe joined Kamiya Jani for the latest episode of Sunday Brunch.
Vedika Pinto Exposes Vikrant Massey’s Biggest Food Obsession
The table was already doing what Sunday Brunch tables do best. Kebabs were disappearing at alarming speed, plates kept getting refilled, desserts made an appearance before anyone even pretended to be full, and yes, gulab jamuns also found their way onto the menu. Somewhere between all that eating and laughing, Kamiya Jani, our Editor-in-Chief, decided it was time for some harmless co-star exposing.
Turning to Vedika Pinto, she asked her to reveal some food habits or quirks about Vikrant Massey that people probably didn’t know.
Vedika Pinto didn’t hesitate for even a second. “I have never met a person who loves Chinese food as much as Vikrant,” she revealed, instantly putting his biggest culinary obsession out in the open.
And judging by everyone’s reaction, this wasn’t exactly breaking news for the people sitting at the table. That’s when Mahima Makwana casually added another detail that made the conversation spiral into an unexpected restaurant recommendation. According to her, Vikrant absolutely loves Foo, the popular Pan-Asian restaurant chain.
Before she could even finish, something funny happened.

Kamiya Jani and Vikrant Massey almost spoke in unison.
“That’s where we went last time!”
Turns out, Foo wasn’t just Vikrant’s favourite place. It was also where Kamiya and Vikrant had headed for one of their earlier Sunday Brunch outings. The coincidence had everyone smiling, and from there, the conversation completely abandoned the original question and became all about the food.
The trio couldn’t stop talking about the restaurant.
At one point, they jokingly declared that Foo serves the kind of Chinese food you don’t even get in China, but somehow you get it in India, and only at this restaurant. It was an exaggerated compliment, of course, but also the kind people make only when they’ve found a place they keep returning to.
If you’ve ever heard food lovers passionately defend their favourite restaurant, you’ll know exactly what this sounded like.
Known for its Pan-Asian menu, Foo has built a loyal fan following for dishes ranging from sushi and dim sums to noodles, baos and signature mains, making it one of Mumbai’s most talked-about spots for Asian cuisine.

So, if Vikrant Massey ever says, “Let’s grab Chinese,” it sounds less like a casual plan and more like a commitment. And after hearing Vedika, Mahima and Kamiya rave about Foo with so much conviction, we’re not saying we’re influenced…
…but we’re also not saying we’re not looking up the menu right now.
