Hey fam! Our latest Tere Gully Mein episode is out for you to watch. From food to family, here’s what Huma revealed in the episode. Keep reading to learn more!

With Huma Qureshi At Her Father’s Delhi Restaurant

Tere Gully Mein is back, and this time we have the talented Huma Qureshi joining us. To enjoy a delicious meal and dive into an interesting conversation, Huma took us to her father’s 50-year-old Mughlai restaurant in Delhi—Saleem’s. Taking us down memory lane, she shared that when she was a kid, the restaurant was much smaller with just four to five seats. She loved sitting at the counter back then and acting like she owned the place.

Having lived all her life in South Delhi, we asked Huma if she has any typical South Delhi traits. She said not exactly, but admitted she definitely likes good places, good clothes—and that people from there are quite shaukeen.

As the conversation moved ahead, Huma recalled visiting a dosa stall opposite Mithibai College in Mumbai. She ordered a simple masala dosa, but the people with her ordered a paneer schezwan masala dosa. She was not thrilled and joked, “Tumne teen cuisine ko kharab kar diya. (You have spoilt three cuisines)”

Huma’s Bond With Her Father

During the interview, the actress’s father also joined us. Before that, we asked about her bond with her father. To which she said she shares a stronger bond with her father than with her mother. She revealed that her father is a cool and progressive guy, believing in equality between men and women.

Revealing some fun details about her family, Jolly LLB actress said she and her brother Saqib Saleem love trying different cuisines while travelling. However, their father is very particular about his kebabs, kormas, gravies, and more. On trips, they take turns—one time eating the way she and her brother like, and the next time following their father’s preferences. After the meal, we visited Anupama Sweets to enjoy their delicious Kalakand. For some fun, we also played a game debating which place is better—Delhi or Mumbai. We ended our day with Falooda, and as Huma said, “Falooda jo hota hai woh thanda karke khae toh hi acha lagta hai.”
