“I Was The Daughter Of My Family,” Rajeev Khandelwal Opens Up About Making Rotis For His Mother

Our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, was invited to television actor Rajeev Khandelwal’s home called ‘Jannat.’ Talking to him, exploring his home and daily habits, we were surprised to see how grounded he is. With some delicious food, the actor also spoke about being the daughter of his house, which really made us curious to know the backstory. Read on to know more!

Rajeev Khandelwal Reveals How He Was A Daughter In His Home

Kamiya Jani had a lovely time chatting with actor Rajeev Khandelwal. During the Sunday Brunch interview, the actor also made a special dish for us and, surprisingly, could make perfect gol rotis. While making the rotis, he said, “ghar ki beti tha main.” He then revealed the reason, saying his mom made sure he knew how to cook. She would make him cook a lot, as boys never usually make food for their mothers.

Rajeev also shared that he used to watch his mother serving hot rotis and then thought of giving the last hot roti to her. That’s when it started, he told his mom to just roll the roti, and he would cook it on the tawa, and from there, Rajeev began making rotis. Among all three brothers, the actor revealed that he and his elder brother know how to cook.

Why Actor Went Blank On Stage?

Talking about his college days with Kamiya Jani, Rajeev revealed that he failed on stage two to three times. Adding to this, he said that he used to go on stage thinking the girl would be impressed when he won, but things used to happen completely opposite. Just when he would walk on stage and see the girl looking at him, he would forget the topic.

He would greet everyone with a standard line like, “Good morning, principal, vice principal, faculty and fellow students,” and then, when it came to announcing the topic, he would go blank and just wish to run off the stage.
