If you’ve ever lived in Lucknow, chances are you’ve been dragged, willingly or not, to Hazratganj. Or found yourself at Royal Café, pretending you’ll order just one chaat and then giving up midway. For Meethika Dwivedi, these spots aren’t just familiar, they’re stitched into her life. Which is why, in the latest episode of Tere Gully Mein by Curly Tales, she took us straight for the classics, and we played ‘This or That’ with her.

Meethika Dwivedi Plays ‘This Or That’

When internet firecracker Meethika Dwivedi sat down with us for a round of ‘This or That,’ we knew the questions would be tough. What we didn’t know was just how quickly and unapologetically she would cut through these “impossible” choices.

First up: Hazratganj ki aloo tikki or Royal Café ki basket chaat? She barely let us finish the question before shooting back with basket chaat. Next came the kachori wars, Ratti Laal versus Bajpayee. Again, she answered in a beat and said Bajpayee, hands down.

Then we tried to trip her up with desserts: Aminabad kulfi or Chowk ki rabdi? She was crystal clear with her choice and declared Aminabad kulfi. And when we asked the ultimate after-meal question, paan or kulfi? Kulfi, she answered. We confessed we loved kulfi too, and in that moment, the city’s sweet tooth felt collectively seen.

Sharma Ji Ki Chai Or Starbucks, What Will Meethika Choose?

But the showstopper wasn’t just food; it was tea. We put Meethika Dwivedi in the hot seat: Sharma Ji ki chai or Starbucks coffee? This time, she didn’t just answer, she declared, Sharma Ji ki Chai. And honestly, that single choice said more than a whole essay could.

Because Sharma Ji’s stall isn’t just a shop,  it’s 75 years of steaming kulhads, morning rituals, gossip sessions, and political debates squeezed into a street corner. It’s the most democratic adda in town, where students, uncles, and dreamers gather around the same pot.

Of course, the non-food round had its own fireworks. We asked: film acting or talk-show hosting? She leaned towards hosting, flashing the kind of ease with conversation that makes her such a natural on camera. Then we upped the stakes: Virat Kohli or Salman Khan for a show? Cue dramatic sighs, laughter, and then her final punchline: “Death.” Meethika Dwivedi’s answer dropped like a mic, and we burst out laughing.

By the end, it was clear this wasn’t just a game. Her picks, from basket chaat to kulfi to Sharma Ji’s chai stitched together a portrait of Lucknow itself. It was rooted and soulful in nature, but delivered with a wink. Meethika Dwivedi reminded us that the best answers aren’t always serious, the best choices aren’t always safe, and sometimes, the perfect full stop is just a sip of chai.
