Raghav Chadha Got Us The Recipe For Parineeti Chopra’s Famous Mushroom Toast

On our latest episode of Tere Gully Mein, our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, met with India’s youngest Member of Parliament and Parineeti Chopra’s husband, Raghav Chadha. Although he’s widely known for his political views and public stance on important issues, this episode was about discovering the man beyond the politics, how he is at home, his love for food, his relationship with Parineeti, and so much more. This food trail involved exploring his favourite food spots in Central Delhi, but we started off with a hearty Punjabi breakfast at his house. To know about everything that we enjoyed, read on.

A Punjabi Feast At Raghav Chadha’s Home In Delhi

Naturally, we started off with a tour of his beautiful house in Delhi with a sprawling garden and pieces of art, sprucing up every corner. Raghav Chadha revealed that his father is a dedicated art collector who has collected these pieces over many years. From the charming green table-and-chair set in the lawn to the antique swing and the various curated artworks inside, every detail made the house feel warm and aesthetically rich.

After the house tour, it was finally time to indulge in some breakfast, and the spread looked divine. Raghav Chadha revealed that at their house, they eat everything but try to watch the portions and control the ingredients. From parathas made with jowar ka atta paired with hing ke tadke wali dahi to dhokla made with beetroot and appe made with oats, everything was absolutely delectable.

Parineeti Chopra’s Delicious Mushroom Toast Recipe

While we were busy enjoying the morning feast, Parineeti Chopra’s special mushroom toast arrived at the table. Raghav Chadha tried to guess how it’s made, but of course, we had to confirm it with Parineeti herself. She revealed that she starts off by roasting a spoonful of maida in butter, then adds milk and stirs until it thickens into a creamy sauce.

In another pan, she sautés mushrooms with butter, salt, pepper, and garlic, then folds them into the sauce and finishes with grated Parmesan or cheddar for extra richness. The mixture is then generously layered over toasted bread. She even recommends serving this mushroom sauce with chicken, fish, or paneer. It’s definitely a recipe you’ll want to try at home.

In this episode, we also found out whether Raghav Chadha prefers food in Delhi or Mumbai, his journey from being a practising chartered accountant to an active politician, and a lot more. To learn all about it, watch the full episode on the Curly Tales YouTube channel.
