Vivek Agnihotri Gave His Wife, Pallavi Joshi, Free Rein In The Design And Construction Of Their Sea-View Home In Mumbai

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri and his wife, actor Pallavi Joshi, graciously invited our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, to their palatial sea-facing home in Mumbai. This Sunday Brunch episode was packed with controversial opinions (of course!), delicious home-cooked food ( a no-brainer) and lots of talks about travel and films. As the couple gave Kamiya a home tour, Vivek even revealed that he gave his wife free rein in the design and construction of their sea-view home in Mumbai.

Pallavi Joshi Aesthetically Designed Their Sea-Facing Mumbai Home

After giving Kamiya Jani a stunning home tour, Vivek Agnihotri and Pallavi Joshi sat down with us for a fun chat. On seeing the beautiful interior featuring Tanjore paintings, minimalist yet elegant decor, Kamiya had to know all about the aesthete in the house. To this, Vivek immediately pointed towards his wife, and Pallavi said, “me”. She said, ” I love decorating.”

The couple shifted to a flat as it took a year to complete the interiors of their sea-facing home. “Mere andar ek bahut frustrated architect chupa hua hai, toh hum log karte rehte hai,” jokes Pallavi. Vivek added that Pallavi’s best friends are also architects. Perhaps, this is where the actor finds her inspiration from. The doting husband admitted that his wife was responsible for all the interiors of their stunning home. “She built every single thing in this house,” he said.

Vivek Agnihotri’s Contribution Was Giving His Wife “Free Rein”

The director admitted to only walking into their work-in-progress home three times a year while the interiors were being done. Pallavi Joshi single-handedly managed to decorate the place aesthetically. Vivek joked that his biggest contribution included giving Pallavi a free rein when it came to the interiors, apart from collecting art and setting up the library. While initially they had different opinions about decorating the space, Vivek caved into Pallavi’s design sense.
