The joke was a reflection of gamers’ disbelief and impatience over the seemingly endless wait for Rockstar Games’ next blockbuster title. After all, it’s been 13 years since Grand Theft Auto V was released. Well, the good news is the wait is finally nearing its end! Rockstar has announced the release date for GTA 6 along with details on when fans can begin pre-ordering the highly anticipated game.

GTA 6 Is Finally Set For A Launch This November!

According to Moneycontrol, GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, ending years of anticipation among fans. Pre-orders for the game will reportedly open on June 25 through digital platforms such as the PlayStation Store, as well as selected retail partners.

Alongside the release timeline, Rockstar Games has unveiled the official cover art for GTA 6, giving fans a glimpse of the game’s aesthetic and some of the elements that will feature in the upcoming title. While the company has confirmed the launch and pre-order dates, it has yet to announce the game’s official pricing.

GTA 6 will be the first mainline instalment in the Grand Theft Auto series since GTA 5 debuted in 2013. Rockstar has also released promotional footage showcasing the game’s two protagonists, Lucia and Jason, who are expected to play central roles in the story.

Now, if you thought hype around GTA 6 was only limited to online memes and comments, then this will make you think twice! According to NDTV, California-based Burger Motorsports has decided to pause operations on November 19, 2026, due to the GTA 6 release!

They took to social media to release a memo to all staff, customers, dealers and partners sharing that the company has instituted the one-day pause to accommodate an unprecedented volume of employee leave requests tied to the video game’s release.

“To all staff, customers, dealers, and partners. Burger Motorsports will be observing a temporary company-wide operational pause on Thursday, November 19, 2026,” the memo read.
