Ganesh Chaturthi is usually a riot of colours, lights, and sweets. But this year, Shweta Mahadik did something that made people actually stop mid-scroll. Every year she stuns with creative Ganpati setups, and this time her setup has the deity seated in a striking undersea mandap that has the internet hooked. She shared the look of her setup on Instagram and the video has already crossed a million likes, and honestly, once you see it, you get why.
Viral Video Shows Underseas Ganpati Mandap
The reel opens like a tiny deep-sea documentary. There’s Lord Ganesha, calm, smiling, draped in sea-green, sitting right among a coral reef. Not only this, he is wearing a crown made with seashells! Bright orange and blue fish dart in zigzags, a shy turtle peeks from its shell, and jellyfish drift like fragile lanterns.
Two dolphins look frozen mid-leap, as if they might spring to life any second. The entire frame glows in a soft, rippling blue colour, like waves moving through the air. At this moment, it’s impossible not to feel like you’ve just stepped into a miniature ocean temple.
Then the camera drifts, revealing more surprises. Starfish cling to the rocky pedestal, swaying seaweed dances gently, and the color palette is so precise it almost hurts to believe it was handmade. It’s devotion with a wild streak of creativity, with a mandap that resembles a miniature coral kingdom.
This year’s undersea Ganpati mandap wasn’t something Shweta Mahadik pulled off overnight, it took her days of planning and crafting before the big reveal her followers were waiting for. She’s known for turning festivals into a visual treat, not just Ganesh Chaturthi but others too, with décor that always leaves people amazed.
The Internet Can’t Stop Gushing
And the comment section is delighted and how! People are awed, emotional and playful. “Every year you do something more beautiful and special,” says one fan.
One user simply wrote “Wow!” with hearts, while a fellow influencer called it “soooo beautiful.” And then there’s the person who went full-on emoji and letter chaos: “waowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww,” which has collected thousands of likes on its own.
What makes the reaction even more interesting is the mix of admiration and affection. People bless her family, applaud the hours of work behind the scenes, and some even confess they wish they could see it live.
One comment nails it perfectly: “No words can justify your talent… amazing.” It’s a reminder that a hand-built mandap, crafted with care, imagination, and a little audacity, can reach far beyond the four walls it’s created in.

Shweta Mahadik’s undersea mandap setup began with devotion, but what she made became a shared moment of wonder. In a digital world that usually encourages swipes and likes, she made people pause and lose themselves in the devotion of Ganpati for a minute. Because this year, Ganpati Bappa didn’t just arrive at her home, he rode a wave, smiled at dolphins, and swam through coral reefs. And everyone who saw it online applauded with claps and awe.
