As everyone waits for the final Bihar election results, Patna has already slipped into a festive mood. The city is buzzing with a festive vibe, as laddus, gulab jamuns, rasgullas, and other traditional sweets are being prepared and shared across Patna. Keep reading to know what’s happening behind this sweet celebration.
Patna Prepares Sweets Ahead Of Bihar Election Results
In one part of Patna, NDA workers are preparing 500 kilograms of laddus. The preparation area feels almost ceremonial, with pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar placed near the giant cooking pans. The cooks say they have also hung lemon and green chilli beside the setup, following the common belief that it helps keep away the evil eye. To make the celebration healthy, they are using less sugar so that people with diabetes can enjoy the sweets too.
Along with the laddus, preparations are underway for five lakh rasgullas and gulab jamuns, reported IANS Live. These sweets are being made in bulk for distribution during the celebrations. Workers remain occupied through the day, shaping, frying, and soaking rasgullas and gulab jamuns while keeping an eye on the consistency and sweetness. The scale of production has turned the kitchens into busy hubs filled with heat, aroma, and constant activity.
Grand Feast For People
Another major highlight of the preparations is a grand feast planned for 50,000 people on the occasion of the Bihar election. According to reports, workers are busy setting up seating, cooking equipment, raw ingredients, and essential supplies to accommodate the huge crowd expected. Invitations have already gone out to supporters and well-wishers. According to IANS Live, the message on the cards says, “Your arrival will be our honour, we are eagerly waiting to welcome you,” adding to the sense of warmth around the celebration.
Preparations are also underway for a special event on November 14, the day the results will be counted. Teams are coordinating the serving areas, food counters, and transport of sweets.
