If you’re looking for a place in Delhi that feels luxurious, artistic, and full of flavour, The Qube at The Leela Palace New Delhi might just be it. I recently visited this newly relaunched restaurant, and it was an experience that stayed with me long after the last bite. The Leela Palace is known for its luxurious setting, and this new version of The Qube really shows how they continue to evolve and push the boundaries of fine dining.
The New Qube Offers A Fresh Look At Luxury Dining
A well-known name in Delhi’s dining scene for many years, The Qube is making a comeback with a brand-new look. The restaurant has been redesigned as a world cuisine atelier, which means it brings together flavours and inspirations from all over the world in one beautifully crafted space.
With subtle details that represent Delhi’s royal past, the space is elegant yet cosy. The digital art wall was one of the first things that caught my eye. It is a stunning LED screen that showcases fine artwork created by Indian artists. The space feels lively and ever-changing because each piece of art has been thoughtfully chosen to complement the tone of your meal. This digital narrative was created in collaboration with Masha Art.
The Menu Depends On The Time Of Day
The Qube here serves a light, nutritious breakfast that is carefully prepared using the produce of the day. Fresh breads, homemade jams, and other wellness-focused, comforting foods will elevate your experience. Lunch is an extraordinary international buffet. From European main courses to Mediterranean salads, it combines the best of India and beyond.
But the real magic begins in the evening, when the space feels more intimate, and the menu turns à la carte. In the evening, The Qube turns into a true fine-dining experience, and if you’re lucky, you might get to try something truly special, like the Thai tasting menu I was invited to experience.

A Thai Tasting Journey With Chef Krung Thong
Chef Krung Thong introduced us to a range of Thai dishes inspired by the food he grew up eating. He was there in person, explaining each dish with warmth and pride. That personal touch made all the difference.
We started with a small amuse-bouche, a flavourful little bite that set the mood. Then came Yam Som O, a fresh pomelo salad made right in front of us. It had cashew nuts, lemongrass, and bird’s eye chilli. Freshly made, it was the perfect mix of sweet, tangy, spicy, and incredibly refreshing! Next, we had a special off-the-menu prawn and chicken salad. It was light, flavourful, and full of seasonal ingredients. I could really taste the freshness in every bite.
The highlight for me was the Gai Satay, juicy, tender chicken skewers served with a creamy peanut sauce. It was hands down the best chicken satay I’ve ever had. Served with shrimp crackers and cucumber, the mix of textures was just perfect. Then came the Tom Kha Gai soup, a traditional Thai coconut milk soup. It was creamy, a little tangy, very comforting, and full of layers of flavour. Even on a hot and humid Delhi evening, it was the perfect soup I couldn’t have enough of.
Desserts & Drinks
There’s truly no better way to end meals than on a sweet note, and the treats at The Qube did not disappoint. First up was Tub Tim Krob, a Thai dessert made of water chestnut dumplings in coconut syrup. It was fun, delicious, and had a great mix of textures. But the real winner was the Masala Chai Brulee. Imagine a crème brûlée, but made with spiced tea, rich custard, and a burnt Demerara sugar crust. It was served with Nolen Gur Ice Cream and was absolutely divine. If you love Indian chai and classic French desserts, this is the dream dessert for you.
To go with the meal, I tried two cocktails. The first one up was The Siam, which was spicy and zesty, a great match with the Thai flavours. And the Chai Martini came next, a fun Indian twist on the classic Espresso Martini. If you love chai, you will love this. You could really taste the spices, and it was bold and beautiful, just like the rest of the evening.
It’s rare to find a place that brings together so many elements like art, design, wellness, tradition, and innovation, and yet still feels personal and welcoming. Whenever you’re looking to treat someone or yourself to a memorable meal, look no further than the newly relaunched The Qube at The Leela Palace New Delhi.
