Here’s How You Can Make It At Home
This festive season, if you want to serve something unique and new to your guests, here’s the breakdown Sanjana’s amazing recipe that you can recreate at home.
Ingredients:
1. Fresh carrots
2. Milk
3. Sugar
4. Saffron
5. Cardamom powder
6. White chocolate
7. Milk chocolate
8. Edible gold dust
Method:
1. Grate fresh carrots using the fine side of the grater so they cook quickly till you get a smooth texture.
2. Cook the carrots in their own juice before adding milk or sugar to keep the flavour and prevent stickiness.
3. Add milk, sugar, and saffron, and cook slowly over medium-low heat, stirring constantly to avoid burning.
4. Add cardamom powder at the end and let the halwa cool completely before putting it in the chocolate mould.
5. Coat a chocolate mould with white chocolate and freeze until solid, then fill it with the cooled halwa and top with milk chocolate.
6. Once the chocolate sets, you can dust it with edible gold.
