Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the month of Shravan is considered holy for many Hindus across India. Many foodies switch to vegetarian diets without onion and garlic and keep fasts. McDonald’s India, a famous fast food chain, has now found a way to adapt to this month by introducing a Shravan Special Menu, offering vegetarian fast food, which has amused netizens on the internet.

McDonald’s Unveils A Shravan Special Menu!

No one would have believed it if someone had told them that one day McDonald’s India would be selling a Shravan Special Menu for customers during the holy month of Shravan. But yes, it’s true, and foodies can’t believe their eyes. An image of the menu was posted on X by user @RaoSumukh, who wrote, “First in my bloodline to see McDonald’s selling upvaas ka khaana.” And honestly, the caption seriously made us giggle.

From the menu, we can see the fast food chain selling Shravan Combos of Unsalted Fries (table salt is avoided during Shravan Monday fasts) and Strawberry Shake. Another combo displayed Unsalted Fries and Chocolate Shake. There were also vegetarian items like McAloo Tikki NONG Burger and Mexican McAloo Tikki NONG Burger. Both these burgers are made without onion and garlic.

Netizens React With Funny Comments 

The special menu has been designed for people avoiding non-vegetarian food, onion and garlic during this holy month, and honestly, the idea is super! Once the McDonald’s Shravan Special Menu went viral, netizens couldn’t stop themselves from writing funny comments under the post.

One user wrote, “I would have applauded if it was sabudana ki khichdi,” while another commented, “A country so strong, the brand forgot its roots!” A third user wrote, “Wake me up when we get a McSabudana Tikki Burger.” 

Many people called it insane, while some users also complained that this food would be prepared in the same kitchen along with non-vegetarian food, which is not something a devotee would want.
