In a viral video shared by a food blogger, Food Pandit, on Instagram, a food stall in Pune is shown, which is famous for selling Idli Patties – yes, you heard it right! We all have had Idlis and Patties separately, but have you ever thought of a combination of the two together? Honestly, this sounds weird, but Pune people think differently because this is one of their favourite breakfast hubs.
The video highlights how two idlis are combined together and are stuffed with a filling of potatoes in between and then are deep-fried until golden brown. The Idli patties are then topped with Jain sambhar, basically a sambhar without garlic and onions, and different types of chutneys and served fresh and hot. The new combination of Idli and Patties is served in Pune only for ₹50. Would you like to try this?
