Karela sabzi eaten with roti has been one of the least favourite dishes for many, including me. However, according to Chef Kunal Kapur, these karela chips have the perfect crunch and a light spicy flavour that will keep you munching on them. If you think your healthy menu needs an update, it’s time to try this new snack made with one of the most underrated vegetables.

How To Make This Snack At Home?
Ingredients:
- Karela
- Salt
- Lemon
- Turmeric power
- Red chilli powder
- Amchur powder
- Cornstarch
- Gram flour
Recipe:
- Take the karela and cut it. Remove the off-white or light green oblong seeds from the inside.
- After removing the seeds, slice the karela horizontally so that each piece has a ring-like shape.
- Add 1 tablespoon of salt and some lemon juice to the sliced karela. Mix well and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
- Wash the karela thoroughly with water and spread the slices on a cloth to dry.
- Add ½ teaspoon of black salt, ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder, one teaspoon of red chilli powder, two teaspoons of amchur powder, one teaspoon of cornstarch, and one teaspoon of gram flour. Mix everything well.
- Heat some oil in a pan. Once hot, add the karela slices and cook them.
- Make sure to flip the slices while cooking so that both sides are cooked evenly and become crispy.
- Your crispy karela chips are now ready. Serve them with the sauce or dip of your choice and enjoy!
