Industrialist Anand Mahindra shared a video of Duduma Falls in Odisha on X, showing how even in well-known states, there are places that leave you breathless. He highlighted the waterfall as a dramatic scene where the Machkund River drops over a rocky cliff in the Koraput district, proving once again that India is full of natural wonders. His post quickly went viral, sparking curiosity among travellers and nature lovers.
Duduma Falls is one of the tallest waterfalls in eastern India, dropping a whopping 157 meters (515 feet)! It sits right on the border of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. The area around will leave you in Awe. It’s full of f lush greenery and rugged rocks, making it even more breathtaking. During the monsoon, the waterfall gets powerful; you can hear the roar of the water from far away, and it’s truly a sight to remember.

How To Reach This Spot In Odisha?
If you plan to visit, the best time is between October and February. So, if you’re planning to visit this spot and wondering how to reach it, here are a few options. The nearest major airport is in Visakhapatnam, and from there, you can easily take a taxi. Koraput railway station is the closest train stop. You can also take the road from Koraput or Visakhapatnam.
Around Duduma Falls, there are several spots where you can stop and enjoy the amazing views. Just a few distances from this falls is the Machkund Hydroelectric Project, one of the oldest in the area. You can also visit nearby tribal villages and local markets to get a taste of the local culture.
