Birthdays rarely rewrite a celebrity’s public image, but Gaurav Khanna’s celebration at Mumbai’s Epitome managed to feel like a crossover episode between Bigg Boss 19 vibes, television glam, and the internet’s restless obsession with catching one “real” moment from its stars.
Gaurav Khanna B’day: Who From BB19 Were Invited & Who Weren’t?
By the time Gaurav walked in, in a tailored yellow blazer, clean white shirt, the kind of understated polish he prefers, the room had already turned into a camera-lit constellation. But the visual highlight arrived a few seconds later when Akanksha Chamola stepped in beside him in a red evening gown. Together, they looked like a colour theory masterclass. No wonder fans keep branding them a “power couple,” the title isn’t PR; it’s just what happens when two people look unbelievably synced without even trying.
Nagma Mirajkar was one of the first to roll into the party energy with boyfriend Awez Darbar. Ashnoor Kaur with bestie Abhishek Bajaj too graced the night, which led to fans shouting “Abhinoor,” in the comments.
Isha Malviya made a warm entrance with her mother, while Faisu slipped into the crowd with his signature casual-sleek vibe. From the BB19 universe, familiar faces kept tumbling in: Mridul Tiwari, Pranit, Awez Darbar, Abhishek Bajaj, Nehal Chudasama, a mini reunion that didn’t need an official hashtag to feel complete.
But of course, the internet noticed the absentees too. Some members of the so-called “bully gang” didn’t show up, and within minutes stan accounts had turned that into a punchline. “Probably not invited” became the evening’s unofficial meme. Trust fandom culture to convert silence into a storyline.
Epitome: The EPIC Mumbai Hotspot
Right at the heart of Lower Parel stands EPITOME – Global Dining & Bar, one of Mumbai’s most iconic lounges and nightlife destinations. It is part restaurant, part bar and a fully thrilling party space. Epitome is known for its stylish, contemporary décor; its camera-friendly lighting and indoor-outdoor layout that keeps the energy alive well into the night, exactly why it was chosen for Gaurav’s celebration.
Guests often praise the smooth, inventive cocktails and well-crafted mocktails served at its full bar, and the food is as good as it gets.
Reviews highlight everything from crispy sushi rolls to Truffle Mushroom Risotto and creative pizzas, all delivered with attentive service that keeps groups energy high over conversations and drinks. Live music, DJs and themed nights add another layer to the experience, making Epitome feel special, exquisite and of course, ideal for you next bash!

A Not-So-Ordinary Cake For GK!
The cake, positioned dramatically under a warm spotlight, looked like something that belonged in a boutique patisserie window: three tiers of pearl-white fondant brushed with gold leaf, hand-painted florals curling upward like a mural. Another cake was slightly shorter but equally magnificent as it carried initials “GK” on it, and the iconic Epitome symbol too!
And then came the moment that broke the internet for 24 hours: during the cake ceremony, Gaurav and Akanksha finally gave in to the crowd’s teasing and shared what guests jokingly christened their “adult wali pappi.”
Anupama Fam At GK’s Birthday Bash
The Anupamaa family wasn’t absent either; Ashish Mehrotra, Chandni Bhagwanani, and Muskan Bamne all turned up to celebrate Gaurav at Epitome, adding a warm dose of on-set camaraderie to the night. Their entry instantly sparked excitement among fans who follow the show’s off-screen friendships as closely as the plot of the show itself. But one absence was impossible to ignore, as Rupali Ganguly didn’t attend, and fans seemed to miss her.
The night ended the way good nights do, with just laughter echoing through a dimly lit pub and a birthday boy who looked genuinely overwhelmed in the best way.
A party becomes a headline only when something unscripted slips through, and this one had plenty of those.
