Bengaluru’s Electronics City Industrial Township Authority (ELCITA) has launched a free feeder bus service for IT professionals. The service connects the Yellow Line metro stations to offices in Electronic City and is expected to make the commute easier for office-goers. Keep reading to know more about this in detail.

To make commuting easier and reduce travel time to and from work, ELCITA has rolled out a free feeder bus service for IT professionals working in Electronics City. As per a report by Hindustan Times, this new service aims to improve last-mile connectivity for office-goers. It will connect the newly operational Yellow Line metro with major IT hubs and office campuses in the area.

The buses will ferry commuters from Electronic City Metro Station (EC1) and Infosys/Konappana Agrahara Metro Station (EC2) to various office hubs across Electronics City. The service will run from Monday to Friday between 8 am and 8 pm. ELCITA also announced the launch on their official Instagram handle with the caption, “With the Yellow Line Metro now operational, ELCITA-Electronics City Industrial Township Authority is making your commute smoother than ever!” They also added, “Let’s make sustainable, stress-free commuting the new normal!”

Multiple Routes And Live Tracking

According to the same report, the feeder service will operate across multiple routes, covering key junctions and major office hubs in the township. Commuters will also be able to track buses live via the ELCITA Citizens App, making it easier to plan their trips.

The Yellow Line of Bengaluru’s Namma Metro connects RV Road to Bommasandra. It has been launched to boost connectivity in the southern tech corridor. Furthermore, the newly operational Yellow Line spans 19.15 km with 16 stations. It is expected to benefit thousands of IT professionals and industrial workers who travel to and from Electronics City daily.
