The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Vinai Kumar Saxena, recently took to his official X account to make an important announcement. The destination is all set to welcome a larger number of visitors ahead of the tourist season. On April 2, 2026, flight operations at Leh Airport increased significantly from 8 flights to 18 flights daily. These flights will connect Ladakh to major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Srinagar, and Chandigarh.
Apart from this, two more flights are expected to begin operations soon. These additional flights will help provide more flexibility to travellers planning their journey to Ladakh this summer season. Increased flights also mean a heavier tourist footfall in the region.
