Maharashtra: 2 Historic Lord Shiva Temples To Undergo ₹315 Crore Restoration Work

We come bearing some amazing news. The Maharashtra government has now approved major projects worth ₹315 crore. This money will be used for the development of two historic temples in the state and work on the fourth phase of the Shivsrushti historical theme park in Pune. Maharashtra Approves ₹315 Crore To Restore Historic Temples

The decision to approve ₹315 crore for these projects was taken recently at a meeting chaired by Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis. Out of ₹315 crore, ₹193.55 crore has been approved for the 800-year-old Aundha Nagnath Temple in Hingoli district. ₹72.49 crore will go towards work at the 240-year-old Kalyaneshwar Temple in Nagpur. Both these historic temples hold great significance for the people of the state.

According to Hindustan Times, ₹50 crore was also sanctioned for the fourth phase of Shivsrushti at Ambegaon Budruk in Pune. It is a historical theme park based on the life and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Temples To Undergo Beautification Work

Now, let’s talk about what the officials plan to do for the development of the temples in Maharashtra. According to Hindustan Times, at Aundha Nagnath, dedicated to Lord Shiva, the authorities are planning conservation and restoration of the Nandi Mandap and the Darshan lane area. The plan also includes the installation of CCTV cameras, lighting, landscaping and construction of a new Bhakta Niwas.

A waiting hall will also be built along with a museum that will display old idols found in the temple. At Kalyaneshwar Temple, Nagpur, also dedicated to Lord Shiva, the authorities are planning to increase parking space, beautification and the construction of multipurpose halls. They are also considering a Mahaprasad facility, Vedshala and Yogshala at the Kalyaneshwar Temple. The rest of the money will go towards the Shivsrushti theme park in Pune.
