One of the biggest attractions of Sambhar Salt Lake is the arrival of around 2 lakh migratory flamingos. Between November and March, thousands of flamingos fly in from Central Asia. Why? To feed on algae in the salty water. When they gather together, their pink feathers turn the lake into a stunning pink sea, drawing birdwatchers and photographers from across India.
