Delhi Airport To Launch E-Arrival Card

From October 1, Delhi Airport will be launching the E-arrival card system, which will be under the supervision of the Bureau of Immigration. The airport announced the new facility to make the arrival process at Delhi Airport smoother by cutting down waiting times, reducing queues, and enhancing overall efficiency for foreign tourists. This new step is also sustainable as it cuts down the usage of paper. With the new digital system, international passengers can submit their arrival information online through a digital platform.
According to NDTV, with this new launch, travellers will no longer have to fill out the traditional paper-based cards at the airport, ensuring a seamless and eco-friendly process. The new system is inspired by international destinations like Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea, and Malaysia. Officials believe that the new facility will improve the passenger experience while reinforcing Delhi Airport’s position as one of the leading international gateways in Asia.

When Can Travellers Fill Out The Form?
From October 1, foreign travellers arriving in Delhi can submit their arrival details online before landing. Travellers can complete the form up to three days before arrival, reported Hindustan Times.
The information can be filled in through:
1. Bureau of Immigration’s website – boi.gov.in
2. Indian Visa website – www.indianvisaonline.gov.in
3. Indian Visa mobile app – ‘Su-Swagatam’
4. Delhi Airport’s website – newdelhiairport.in
The new E-Arrival Card is launching about a year after Delhi airport introduced the Fast Track Immigration–Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP), which was in June 2024. However, that earlier programme was only for Indian nationals and people holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cards.
Now, with the launch of the E-Arrival Card for foreign travellers, the government is focusing on making the airport experience smoother for everyone.
