New Elevated Road Could Cut Travel Time Between Delhi & Noida
According to NDTV, the proposed six-lane elevated corridor is expected to bring down the travel time between the DND side and Sector 60 to around 10 minutes, compared to nearly 30 minutes during heavy traffic at present. The project is estimated to cost around ₹700 crore and is expected to offer a signal-free route through several busy parts of Noida.
The proposed road will start near the Rajnigandha Underpass in Sector 3 and run along Master Plan Road-1. From there, it will pass through Sector 3, Sector 10, the Sector 12-22 T-point and Sector 57, before reaching Sector 60.
At Sector 60, the elevated corridor will connect with Master Plan Road-2. The alignment has also been extended by around 1.5 km from the earlier plan, taking the total length of the proposed elevated stretch to approximately 6 km.

Here’s All You Need To Know About This
The biggest attraction of the proposed road is its signal-free design. Instead of navigating multiple busy intersections in central Noida, commuters travelling from the DND side towards the northern sectors could get a more direct route.
According to estimates cited in the reports, a journey between Delhi and Noida that currently takes a travel time of around 30 minutes during congestion could take about 10 minutes once the corridor becomes operational.
The road could also make commuting easier between South Delhi, central Noida, Sector 57, Sector 60 and nearby industrial areas.
The project could also be useful for people travelling from Greater Noida West and the 7X sectors towards Delhi, as traffic from these areas often passes through central Noida before reaching the DND route.
Now, before you start planning your commute around that 10-minute travel time, there is one important thing to know: the road is not under construction yet!
The Noida Authority approved the revised alignment in July after IIT Roorkee presented its feasibility assessment. IIT Roorkee is currently preparing the Detailed Project Report (DPR), after which the project will need further approvals and a contractor will have to be selected before construction can begin.
