Apart from reaching your destination quickly, in-flight food can make or break the travel experience, and Air India clearly gets that. The airline has launched a brand-new in-flight menu across its fleet, blending India’s rich culinary heritage with global flavours to offer passengers an elevated dining experience in the sky. Keep reading to know more about their new menu.

Air India Launches New Global Menu

Air India’s new menu is available on most international routes from India, including flights from Delhi to London, New York, Melbourne, Sydney, Toronto, and Dubai, and from Mumbai and Bengaluru to San Francisco and New York. It will gradually be introduced on all international and domestic routes. From the new menu, passengers can look forward to everything from the royal flavours of Awadhi cuisine to the coastal specialities of South India.

Global cuisines are also on the menu, including Pan-Asian and European bistro-style dishes. This new menu has just got us all excited for our next flight. First Class passengers can enjoy fancy multi-course meals–fresh breads, delicious desserts, and perfectly paired wines and champagnes.

Business Class travellers get carefully planned meals with options they can customise. Even Premium Economy and Economy passengers get an upgraded dining experience with tasty, balanced dishes served in a nicer way.

Indian Classics Added To The Menu

You will also find classic Indian flavours on Air India’s brand new menu. This includes Awadhi Paneer Anjeer Pasanda, Murgh Massalam, and South Indian platters in First and Business Class. Premium Economy offers dishes such as Rajasthani besan chilla, Malabari chicken curry, and Malai Palak Kofta.

International dishes range from Japanese Teppanyaki Bowls and citrus tiger prawns to Mediterranean tapas and manicotti forestiere. Gen Z favourites like chicken bibimbap and matcha delice also make the cut, while comfort-seekers can opt for homestyle masala dal khichdi or stuffed paranthas.

If you’re looking for a vegan, gluten-free dish or are allergic to some food items, Air India’s new menu has something for you as well. You can now pre-select meals through the Air India app, which provides chef’s notes, allergen information, and customisation options.
