In India, there are so many places we’ve heard of but never actually visited—those quiet, scenic spots that feel like a breath of fresh air compared to the usual crowded tourist zones. Recently, Aparshakti and Ayushmann Khurrana were spotted enjoying a cosy family moment at one such peaceful hideaway between Mumbai and Pune. Any guesses which place they picked for their getaway?
Inside Aparshakti And Ayushmann Khurrana’s Family Getaway
Actor Aparshakti Khurana took to his social media handle to share pictures from his recent family getaway. In the photos, he is seen with his brother Ayushmann Khurrana and other members. They seem to have ditched crowded tourist spots for a quiet natural retreat between Mumbai and Pune.
They visited Pawna Lake, a scenic escape surrounded by green hills and open skies. Pawna Lake has been gaining popularity among travellers looking for a peaceful weekend away from the city.

Best Time To Visit Pawna Lake
Pawna Lake is just about 20 km from Lonavala, which means one thing—you can literally hop in your car and be there in a few hours. It’s around 110 km from Mumbai and 58 km from Pune, making it the perfect destination for a quick weekend getaway. The lake is man-made, created after the Pavana Dam was built on the Pavana River in Maharashtra’s Pune district. Surrounded by the lush Sahyadri hills, the whole place feels calm and refreshing.
If you’re planning to visit this man-made lake, then the period between October to May is best. During this time, the weather stays pleasant, and the skies remain clear—ideal for camping. At the time of the monsoon, due to rainfall, this place becomes slippery, making it hard to walk.
So, next time when you’re planning a quick getaway with your family or friends, do add Pawna Lake to your list.
