Badrinath National Highway Closes Temporarily
Recently in Uttarakhand, the travelling on Badrinath National Highway has been closed temporarily. As per NDTV, its because the The highway is temporarily closed near Helang in Chamoli district after debris and loose rocks fell onto the road following continuous rainfall.
According to the Chamoli district administration, debris fell on a part of the highway, making it unsafe for vehicles to pass. Officials immediately stopped traffic and sent heavy machines to clear the road so it could reopen as soon as possible.

Advisory Issued For Pilgrims
As the heavy rainfall continues, officials are keeping close eye on the situation. Also, people who are travelling throught Badrinath route are advised to travel on this road. If you’re planning a trip, make sure to check the latest weather and traffic updates before heading out. NDTV reported, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued repeated rain warnings for several hill districts in Uttarakhand, including Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar.
For the passengers going to Badrinath, one of the Char Dham Yatra, Badrinath National Highway is the main route. Every year, thousands of pilgrims travel on this road during the yatra season. It is also an important road for people living in Chamoli and nearby areas. Apart from this, the highway is important as it connects areas near the India-China border.
