Built to serve the Visakhapatnam region, the new Bhogapuram Airport in Andhra Pradesh is a greenfield international airport. It was officially inaugurated on August 1, 2026 and is set to start commercial flight operations from August 17, 2026. But the viral videos from the airport have made netizens angry and sparked a discussion on civic sense.
In the clips posted by an X user, @yajnshri, people can be seen openly stealing saplings planted across the airport road. Not just that, some people also jumped into the fountain and played as if they were at a waterfall. According to the post, even the police intervened, but no one really cared.

Netizens Slam Behaviour
Naturally, internet users slammed the behaviour of the locals for creating a nuisance and stealing. One user wrote, “Very shameful and disgraceful,” while another comment read, “Heavy fine is required to instil fear.” A third user commented, “This clearly indicates the importance of civic sense.” Another user even asked, “Where is the basic civic sense?”
While many users were angry, some supported the locals stealing saplings, saying they were taking them home to take better care of them. On the other hand, many others blamed the authorities for not taking action on the spot.
