Andhra Pradesh is all set to roll out an AI guide at more than 100 tourist sites in over 130 languages. The government recently signed a three-year agreement with the Indian travel-tech company Explurger. Keep reading to know its benefits and what it means for travellers.

Andhra Pradesh To Roll Out AI Guide At Tourist Sites

Andhra Pradesh is all set to become India’s first AI-powered tourism state. The government has now collaborated with Explurger to use its multilingual conversational platform, NiVU AI, at more than 100 tourist sites across the state. According to The Hindu, NiVU AI will be introduced at major temples, beaches, forts, heritage monuments and natural attractions over the next three years.

This guide will make travelling and exploring a lot more educational and fun in Andhra Pradesh. Tourists and pilgrims will be able to use this AI platform by simply scanning a QR code at each site. It will provide information on the history, culture, religious significance and other highlights through voice or text.

Tourists Can Access Information In More Than 130 Languages

According to The Hindu, travellers will be able to access this information in more than 130 Indian and international languages. What’s more? The guide, NiVU AI, will also suggest nearby attractions to visitors. Reportedly, the statewide rollout follows the successful pilot implementation at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple and Sri Panakala Lakshmi Narasimha Temple in Mangalagiri.

Devotees at these two sites have been using this AI guide to learn about the history of the temples, their traditions and rituals in their preferred languages. The app has been receiving good feedback from pilgrims and temple authorities, which is why it will now be rolled out at more tourist sites across the state.
