Wouldn’t it be great if we had a place where all three—nature, culture, and sports—were together? Dehradun is turning this vision into reality. Dehradun is getting ready to welcome a 132-acre park at Rashtrapati Niketan on Rajpur Road, along the Dehradun-Mussoorie highway, which is set to open in 2026. Dehradun To Welcome 132-Acre Park

In 2026, Dehradun will soon open a world-class park inspired by London’s Hyde Park. It will be a 132-acre park and aims to blend nature, sports, and culture in one grand public space. With this creative idea, Dehradun authorities are planning to attract locals and tourists, reported Travel and Tour World.
Here’s what you can enjoy at new park. The park will feature large green lawns, walking and cycling tracks, and open areas for fitness and relaxation. There will be playgrounds for children, wellness zones, and spaces for community activities. An amphitheatre will host concerts, cultural shows, and art events, turning the park into a lively cultural hub. The plan also includes fountains, small lakes, and water features to enhance the park’s scenic beauty.

More Amenities At The Park
Along with nature, the garden also prioritises the health and wellness of its visitors. For this, it will have jogging tracks, yoga zones, and well-marked cycling paths. Sports enthusiasts will have access to modern facilities that cater to all age groups. For those who love calm and nature, the park will have a forest trail where visitors can explore the local flora and fauna.
According to Travel and Tour World, to make the park more visitor-friendly, there will be a help centre to guide tourists and share useful information. Visitors can also enjoy horse riding in a special area inside the park. Regular art exhibitions will bring colour and creativity to the space. Plus, a cosy café and a souvenir shop will let people relax, grab a bite, and take home a small memory of their visit.
Once complete, this park will not just be a green retreat—it will be a symbol of modern, sustainable tourism in Uttarakhand.
