Delhi Metro commuters, there is an important update for you all. For Holi, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced revised timings on the day of the festival. Scroll down to know the timing for March 4, 2026, so that you can plan your journeys accordingly and without any hassle.

Delhi Metro Services To Begin From Afternoon On Holi 


Delhi Metro Rail Corporation took to its official X account to make an important announcement for commuters. For the day of Holi, which is on March 4, 2026, train services will not run at their usual time. Instead of starting in the morning, metro train services will begin at 2:30 pm from terminal stations on all lines.

But don’t worry, the services will then continue as per their regular schedule after 2:30 pm. According to a report by Times Now, on the occasion of Holi, Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro services will operate from 5 pm to 10 pm. The trains will remain suspended during the morning and afternoon hours on the day of the festival. However, they will resume normal operations after 5 pm.

Commuters Advised To Plan Their Journeys In Advance 

According to Times Now, Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro will run daily from 6 am to 10 pm on other days (including Sundays) for commuters. The services connect key areas in the National Capital Region, including Meerut. So, if you are travelling on Holi, make sure you keep these revised timings in mind. 

You can plan your travel in advance so that you do not face difficulties later. Moreover, authorities have also advised commuters to check for the latest updates before leaving for metro stations. It should be noted that this temporary change in timings is just for Holi to ensure smooth operations. The trains will run as per their regular schedule from the day after.
