French President Emmanuel Macron was in India for a three-day visit. He has now taken to his official X account to thank India for his experience. His way of appreciating the country, with a video showing him enjoying Indian culture through dance, performances, food, and more, has gone viral!
French President Emmanuel Macron’s Three-Day Visit To India
French President Emmanuel Macron was on a three-day visit to India, where he also attended the India AI Impact Summit in Delhi. In the X post, he wrote “Thank You India” and shared glimpses of his brief trip in the country. The video showed the president being welcomed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with traditional performances featuring dhol and dance.
Not just that, the video also showed him enjoying Indian food, featuring naan and biryani. During his visit, President Macron also interacted with locals and even surprised morning joggers along the famous Marine Drive promenade in Mumbai, as he went out for a jog himself!

French President Paid Tribute & Engaged Tech Leaders
According to The Economic Times, during his visit, President Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron also paid floral tributes to the victims of the November 2008 terror attacks at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in South Mumbai. He stayed at the Taj President Hotel in Mumbai before travelling to Delhi to attend the India AI Impact Summit 2026.
During his visit, President Macron not only held conversations with Prime Minister Narendra Modi but also engaged with top global tech leaders about growing strategic ties between Paris and New Delhi. During his visit, he also eased visa rules for Indian students, making it simpler for more students to study in France.
