South Indian food has a lot of fans across India. In many places across the city, several South Indian restaurants have opened, promising to serve authentic food. One such place is Rameshwaram Cafe. But as new places keep opening, you can notice how similar they are to The Rameshwaram Cafe. And we’re not the only ones to notice this. A video going viral online highlighted the lack of creativity among South Indian restaurants. Scroll down to know more!

The Rameshwaram Cafe Look Is Everywhere

RJ Amith Pawar (@amithpawarr) took to his social media handle to highlight one of the common issues he noticed in every South Indian restaurant. At the start of the video, you can hear him saying how every hotel now looks like The Rameshwaram Cafe. He then connected it to the Spider-Man theme, where everyone looks the same. Every South Indian place now has the mandala design in its logo, black granite, and, of course, ghee podi on the menu.

Another thing South Indian eateries now have in common is how similar they sound. Every name now has “Am” in it, like Satyam Cafe, Shivam Cafe, and Sundaram Cafe. They also present their food as God’s prasad, while the prices are on another level.

The Internet Has A Lot To Say

The video calling out South Indian restaurants has gone viral online, with netizens sharing their reactions.

One user commented, “OMG!!! I thought it was just me who noticed that the name, logo and ghee podi formats are everywhere.”

Another netizen agreed and wrote, “So true.”

“Exactly what I was thinking. Thought it was just me noticing this. For people, it’s always easier to copy a proven trend than to actually sit down and create something original,” another comment read.

Another Instagram user wrote, “Finally, someone is talking about this.”
