She recently took to Instagram to share the story behind her wedding menu, and it was anything but ordinary. Instead of an elaborate spread of hors d’oeuvres, the couple chose dishes that were rooted in nostalgia, love and cherished childhood memories. Guests were welcomed into the ballroom with a tulsi plant, setting the tone for the intimate celebration.

There were also ‘chakhna tables’ in the room stocked with snacks that, as Anshula put it, she and Rohan “grew up loving”. The spread included milk cake, khandvi, pyaaz kachori, mathri, laddoos, and revdi.

Describing the menu as “little tastes of home” from both their worlds, Anshula highlighted how every dish reflected their shared journey. The wedding catering was handled by The Rameshwaram Cafe, so you can imagine the food was as memorable as the celebration itself.

Celebrating The Incredible Crafts Of India

Beyond food, Anshula Kapoor’s wedding also featured nostalgia in the form of pictures! “On either side of the mandap were walls covered with photographs of our family. Because those are the people who have shaped us, loved us and brought us to this moment,” the bride shared in her post.

The couple also paid tribute to India’s rich craftsmanship through handwoven textiles and traditional fabrics woven into the decor. From fragrant strings of mogra intertwined with Indian textiles to peacock motifs symbolising a love that is both earthly and divine, every detail reflected their thoughtful vision for the celebration.

“Every corner held a memory, a meaning or a piece of home. And that’s exactly what we had hoped for,” Anshula concluded in her post.
