Metro Line 3 To Run Till Midnight During Ganeshotsav 2026
According to Mid-Day, the extended services will be available from September 14 to September 25, giving Mumbaikars and devotees more time to visit pandals, attend celebrations and travel back home without worrying about the usual late-night commute.
Currently, the last Metro trains from both Cuffe Parade and Aarey JVLR terminals depart at around 10:30 PM. During the Ganeshotsav period, the last services will instead run until 12 midnight, giving passengers an additional 90 minutes to travel.
The move is expected to be particularly useful for those visiting some of Mumbai’s popular Ganeshotsav spots, where crowds and traffic tend to peak during the festival.

Easier Travel To Popular Ganpati Spots
Metro Line 3 passes through several areas that are important for Ganeshotsav celebrations, including Siddhivinayak, Dadar, Worli, Mahalaxmi and Girgaon. With services running later, devotees can spend more time at pandals and avoid some of the traffic on Mumbai’s roads.
For Ganeshotsav, a festival that sees thousands of people travelling across the city, the extended Metro timings could come as a welcome relief, especially for those planning late-evening pandal visits.
