According to The Hawk, the site will be developed into a ‘Two Day Destination’. The Gujarat Pilgrimage Development Board has initiated the ₹53.94 crore Rinchhadiya Mahadev Lake Development Project.
Once the project is completed, devotees visiting Ambaji Temple will be able to enjoy boating and take in serene lake views amid a rejuvenating natural environment. The developments will encourage them to extend their stay and spend more time at the place.

Lake, Bridges, Food Zone & More
The Rinchhadiya Mahadev Temple complex, which is nestled amid breathtaking hills, is undergoing a major transformation. Authorities will work on creating a large artificial lake, modern boating facilities, well-designed walking tracks and more. According to The Hawk, there will also be two new bridges, an arrival plaza, and a dedicated food zone.
Information kiosks and a visitor centre will also be constructed to help tourists and enhance their overall experience. Authorities are planning to make Ambaji a destination where pilgrims can spend at least two days for both religious and recreational activities. The project is expected to significantly boost tourist footfall and help generate jobs for locals as well.
