Reliance Enters India’s Ice Cream Market With Bombay Creamery
Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), has entered India’s ice cream market. As per The Economic Times, the new ice cream brand, Bombay Creamery, was launched on Monday, August 31, and will focus on dairy-based ice creams.
As per RCPL, the new ice cream brand offers desserts made with dairy ingredients. The brand aims to become India’s first accessible premium dairy brand while offering a variety of options at affordable prices. Bombay Creamery also plans to have a long-term presence in the ice cream market.

Different Ways To Enjoy Ice Cream
In the new range of ice creams by Bombay Creamery, you’ll get to enjoy several varieties. You can also ice cream from cones, cups, tubs, bars and sticks. Prices will start at ₹10. The Economic Times reported that talking about the pricing, T Krishnakumar, Director at Reliance Consumer Products Limited, said that the brand uses real dairy cream and aims to deliver the taste of genuine ice cream at a price Indian families can afford.
Bombay Creamery will first be available in western India. RCPL plans to take the brand to other parts of the country later. The launch also marks RCPL’s official entry into the ice cream market. The company has reportedly been exploring this category since 2023. With Bombay Creamery, Reliance aims to compete with the many ice cream brands already popular in India.
