After a spell of intense monsoon activity, rainfall patterns across India are set to remain variable over the coming days. While parts of central, eastern and northern India are likely to continue receiving moderate to heavy showers, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) expects rainfall activity to remain subdued over peninsular India. Mumbai To See Partly Cloudy Skies, No IMD Alert
Before the monsoon becomes more active, several parts of Maharashtra are likely to continue experiencing hot and humid conditions. Similar weather conditions are expected in parts of north Maharashtra, Marathwada and western Maharashtra, with high daytime temperatures coupled with increased humidity.

The southwest monsoon remains active across several parts of India, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting rainfall in multiple regions during Raksha Bandhan.
Delhi-NCR Could Get Relief From Heat And Humidity
Similar weather conditions have been reported across Delhi-NCR, with parts of Noida and Ghaziabad receiving showers on Thursday. The rain brought temporary relief from the prevailing heat and humidity, and some areas may continue to receive rainfall on Friday. However, the respite could be short-lived, with the IMD forecasting a relatively dry spell in Delhi from August 29 to September 2, when the chances of rain are expected to remain low.

Meanwhile, southern and western parts of India are likely to see comparatively varied weather conditions. Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala may experience isolated to scattered showers in some areas, while parts of Rajasthan and Gujarat could remain relatively drier, with only occasional rainfall. Coastal regions may continue to witness localised rain and thunderstorms due to moisture-laden winds, even as the most active monsoon conditions remain concentrated over central, eastern and northern India.
