IndiGo Crew Member’s Kind Gesture Towards Elderly Passenger Goes Viral
In a recently deleted video, IndiGo crew member Jenifar (@jenifarvu) helped an elderly woman on a flight. Her kind gesture won everyone’s hearts online. In the caption, the IndiGo crew member mentioned that when she sat down for her meal, an elderly woman sat across from her, and she thought the passenger would be there for only a few minutes. However, she later noticed that the woman was repeatedly pressing her calves and knees.
Unable to see the passenger in pain, she decided to step in and help. She said she could not continue eating while watching the woman struggle. She approached the passenger, asked if she could help, and then began massaging her legs. The elderly woman was sitting on the floor while the crew member massaged her legs to relieve her pain. Grateful for the gesture, the woman kissed her hands and held her head in her own two hands.
Although the two could not communicate properly because of a language barrier, Jenifar said she understood a few words spoken by the passenger, “nanri” and “maa,” which she believes mean “thank you” and “little girl” in Tamil.
