An IndiGo flight heading to Chennai reported a crack on its windshield shortly before landing on Saturday. The pilots handled the situation efficiently, ensuring a safe landing. All passengers and crew members are reported to be safe, and arrangements are being made to replace the windshield. Read on to know more.
Windshield Crack On Madurai-Chennai IndiGo Flight

According to The Economic Times, an IndiGo flight from Madurai to Chennai witnessed a crack in the windshield ahead of the plane’s landing. Reportedly, the pilot of the flight noticed the crack ahead of landing. He quickly informed the Air Traffic Controller at the airport in Chennai about the situation.
The flight was carrying 76 passengers, and as soon as the airport authorities got to know about the windshield crack on the IndiGo flight, they made arrangements at the airport, and the plane landed safely. The aircraft was then taken to a separate bay, Bay No. 95, and the passengers were safely deplaned there. The aircraft has been parked there for now, and arrangements are being made to replace the windshield.
So far, the cause of the windshield crack has not been identified, and IndiGo has not released a statement in this matter. As per reports, the flight’s return journey to Madurai has been cancelled for now, keeping the state of the aircraft in mind.

Akasa Air Flight To Delhi Suffers Bird Hit
On October 10, an Akasa Air flight from Pune to Delhi suffered a bird hit. Thankfully, the hit did not affect the plane’s journey, and pilots were able to land safely at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Airport. However, due to the bird hit, the aircraft, which was also scheduled to operate from Delhi to Goa, was delayed for a few hours, and the airline had to arrange another plane for the journey.
