IndiGo To Expand Long-Haul Services

Flying to Europe is soon going to get more comfortable, because IndiGo is planning a three-class cabin on its upcoming long-haul flights to Europe. As per The Economic Times, in these upcoming Airbus A350-900 aircraft, you can expect lie-flat business class seats, a premium economy cabin, and a high-capacity economy section.

IndiGo’s new aircraft will come with 16 Business Class seats, 28 Premium Economy seats, and 333 Economy seats. The aircraft will have more Economy seats than many other airlines, allowing IndiGo to carry more passengers. Another good news is that even with the extra seats, passengers will still get standard legroom along with hot meals.

More Comfortable Experience For Passengers

Speaking about the new addition to IndiGo flights, Aloke Singh, IndiGo’s Chief Strategy Officer, said the airline wants to make long flights of over eight hours more comfortable for passengers. The Economic Times reported that he also said IndiGo will continue to focus on keeping costs low, expanding its network, and running its operations efficiently.

The plan is already in motion, as IndiGo has already ordered 60 Airbus A350-900 aircraft, and the first deliveries will begin in 2028. These new planes will help the airline expand its international network. By 2030, IndiGo wants 40% of its flights to be international, up from the current 28%.
