That’s exactly what a man on a train journey did during a seat mix-up on a train. What ended up being total confusion resulted in a wholesome train journey of shared food, laughter and effortless conversations.

Taking to the sub-Reddit, Indian Railways, Redditor @siddharth_u shared a heartwarming story of his recent train journey. The man shared that he accidentally ended up sharing his berth with a female traveller due to a seat mix-up by Indian Railways. Being an introvert, he assumed the situation would get awkward as he usually spends his train journeys plugging his earphones or pretending to sleep.

But this train journey was different for the Redditor as his fellow traveller struck up a conversation with him, and her friends joined too. The man revealed on his Reddit post that what started as small talk eventually resulted in deep chats about random topics, life, food, travel and everything else. Before he knew it, he spent 15 hours with the new friends he made during his train journey to his hometown.

Seat Mix-Up By Indian Railways Leads To Core Travel Memory

The Redditor recalled sharing snacks, chatting about random things and cackling with his fellow travellers. The introvert didn’t mind being awake the whole night. He called his train journey “surprisingly wholesome” without any drama. For him, it was like two strangers getting along like old friends. When they reached their destination, the travellers bid their goodbye and went their separate ways. They didn’t exchange numbers or promise to be in touch. For the Redditor, it was “a nice human moment in a world that’s usually in a hurry.”
