Passengers travelling between Kanpur and Delhi are set to get another rail option, with Indian Railways approving a new daily overnight train between Kanpur Central and Anand Vihar Terminal. Indian Railways Approves Kanpur To Anand Vihar Train
The train will operate as the 14153/14154 Kanpur Central-Anand Vihar (T)-Kanpur Central Mail and will run daily in both directions. Train 14153 will depart from Kanpur Central at 8:40 pm and reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 4:50 am the following morning. On the return journey, Train 14154 will leave Anand Vihar at 11:25 pm and arrive at Kanpur Central at 7:25 am the next day.
According to reports by Swarajya Magazine, the train will cover around 428 km each way. The journey from Kanpur to Anand Vihar will take approximately eight hours and 10 minutes, while the return journey will take around eight hours.
The new Mail service will make commercial stops at several important stations along the route. These include Phaphund, Etawah, Tundla, Hathras, Aligarh, Khurja, Dadri and Ghaziabad. The stops will provide additional travel options for passengers from cities and towns along the corridor, apart from those travelling directly between Kanpur and Delhi.

The Kanpur Central-Anand Vihar route is an important rail corridor connecting Uttar Pradesh with the Delhi region. The roughly 430-km route passes through several major railway stations, including Etawah, Tundla and Aligarh.
Other Trains On The Corridor
The introduction of the new daily service is expected to strengthen rail connectivity between Kanpur, Etawah, Aligarh, Ghaziabad and Delhi, particularly for passengers who prefer travelling overnight.
The route already handles several important long-distance and premium services. These include the Ayodhya Cantt-Anand Vihar Vande Bharat Express, North East Express, Neelachal Express, Arunachal AC Superfast Express and Humsafar services.
