Content creator Rohit Raghvendra (@rohitraghv_) recently took to his social media handle to share a fun take on how to open a “generic” café in Mumbai. In his tips, he suggested keeping the café’s theme neutral and using colours like hazelnut brown, beige, olive green, rustic tan, and carbon grey. He also added a funny idea for the café name. According to him, the name should be very short and simple, and it should not have anything related to food or place.
He also gave examples of names like SLCE, KNCT, BRU, BRTH, and FRSH, suggesting that all vowels should be removed. According to him, vowels make a café look “poor.” He further added that if you want to make the café sound more fancy, you can use German or Spanish-style fonts, or even add symbols like dots, slashes, or brackets. He also suggested keeping a corporate-style name, but limiting it to not more than two words. Some of his examples include names like Project Brew, GRND DEPT, and Bean Collective. And that’s it, the café is ready to serve more than 40 matcha drinks and 30 sourdough sandwiches.
